"We recently took our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and participated in 'Las Caletas by Day.' We snorkeled, kayaked, hiked, and just relaxed. The food was luscious and all the personnel were friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I rated your trip as the ultimate of our vacation... 5 star! Our only regret is that we did not sign up for more. I guess we'll have to go back!" Lillian Cochran Snyder - U.S.A.
"... I don't even like getting wet in a bathtub! I enjoyed it very much!" Beebee Beck - Boston, USA
"We just got back from Las Marietas! What a beautiful and wonderful experience! I love Puerto Vallarta, but the trip to Las Marietas was my highlight! The crew was wonderful, entertaining, and cute. We also have enjoyed the video we purchased of the day. When I return to Las Marietas, Mexico, I will definitely return to its beauty!" Dawn Ashbaugh - Springfield, U.S.A.

JOHN HUSTON'S PRIVATE PARADISE... Accessible only from the sea, the secluded cove of Caletas feels worlds away, yet its location is just a pleasant hour-long boat ride from Puerto Vallarta. Backed by the jungle-clad slopes of the Sierra Madre Mountains, this playful paradise was once the private home of John Huston - who considered it one of the most beautiful places in the world. The shallow waters of this isolated cove offer some of the finest sea kayaking, snorkeling and diving in the Mexican Pacific. The underwater coves and nearby natural reef teem with a diverse array of brightly colored fish, spectacular sponge formations and coral reefs.

On land, renowned botanist Charles Sacamano has lovingly created a special nature trail, with markers that identify the exceptional flora and fauna of Caletas. For those who prefer simple relaxation, our tranquil, private beach is the perfect place to laze in the sun or you can enjoy a relaxing and therapeutic massage or facial at our enchantingly rustic day spa. Las Caletas offers an uncommonly magical way to enjoy a day - or two!

WILD DOLPHINS AND SNORKELING... Situated at the Northern end of Banderas Bay The Marietas Islands have recently been named a protected Marine Reserve due to their huge diversity of marine and bird life. Dolphins, sea turtles and friendly giant manta rays flourish in the shallows and a unique, complex marine ecosystem has evolved in the shelter of these islands. In the protected coves of the islands, you can dive into the shallows to snorkel with the masses of tropical fish and coral reefs. Accompanied by our knowledgeable and bilingual eco-guides, we explore the archways and deep caverns that form the rocky, coastal architecture of the Marieta's. Guests may choose kayaking, snorkeling or our scuba option in the crystal clear waters surrounding the islands.
After lunch aboard the boat, we take you to the peninsula of Punta de Mita - where a secluded paradise beach awaits you. Here you will have the chance to soak up Mexico's endless sunshine and sample the inviting tropical waters of the Pacific. However, it's your vacation, you do not have to do anything; you can just sit back, relax and sip a cool refreshing drink, courtesy of our open-bar.
