The name El Sequial means a "dry area," indicating that it is one of the few shallow dive sites outside of Banderas Bay where visibility is often much better than many other dive sites near Puerto Vallarta. Due to it's size, which is approximately 300 meters long, and it's location, close to Corbeteņa Island, this dedicated dive site boasts depths up to 1.5 miles and is frequented by large marine life such as Tuna, Sailfish and sometimes Shark. Incredible drop-offs on each side of the table-top make El Sequial an unique diving experience reserved for certified divers.

Open Water Certification card and previous dive with Vallarta Adventures - or - 25 logged dives are required to participate on this dive trip. Certified divers who have not dived in the past 12 months will be required to take a refresher course. Non-certified divers can participate in dives at Las Marietas or at Las Caletas; however, they must complete a Vallarta Adventure Discover Scuba pool lesson before the day of their dive.
Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives. Non-certified divers will only be allowed a 1-tank dive. Beginner divers dive to a maximum depth of 40 ft and Certified divers up to a maximum of 60 ft. Advanced divers can dive to up to a maximum of 120 ft. Supervision is normally 1 Dive master to 3 diver pairs using the buddy system.
Diving within 24 hours of your flight home is not recommended. An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs.
