A WORLD-CLASS DIVE SITE...
Six miles West of Marietas Islands and on the very edge of Banderas Bay lies El Morro, a series of rock pinnacles extending above the surface of the blue waters of the Pacific. This spectacular dive site is for experienced divers only and offers the chance to practice more technical diving due to its remote location. El Morro has dozens of caves and tunnels waiting to be explored which provide a home to some of the largest moray eels and mantas you are ever likely to see. The barnacle covered rock pinnacles attract all manner of sea life including turtles, octopus, sea horses, dolphins, manta rays, jacks, yellowtails and sailfish.

Open Water Certification card and previous dive with Vallarta Adventures - or - 25 logged dives are required to participate on this dive trip. Certified divers who have not dived in the past 12 months will be required to take a refresher course. Non-certified divers can participate in dives at Las Marietas or at Las Caletas; however, they must complete a Vallarta Adventure Discover Scuba pool lesson before the day of their dive.
Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives. Non-certified divers will only be allowed a 1-tank dive. Beginner divers dive to a maximum depth of 40 ft and Certified divers up to a maximum of 60 ft. Advanced divers can dive to up to a maximum of 120 ft. Supervision is normally 1 Dive master to 3 diver pairs using the buddy system.
Diving within 24 hours of your flight home is not recommended. An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs. | | |
