A MEMORABLE DIVE TRIP...
Situated in the extreme south of Banderas Bay, approximately 3 miles south of Yelapa and shortly before Cabo Corrientes, El Chimo is famous for it's volcanic rock formations. A haven for abundant marine life such as turtles, mantas and all kinds of Pacific tropical fish, outcroppings in this area, such as "the church," range in depth from 40 and 160 ft, providing a myriad of crevices, arches and swim-throughs to explore. Add to this El Chimo's isolation from the rest of Vallarta, and this tiny fishing village's back drop of towering, tropically clad mountains brushed by beautiful golden beaches, and you'll never forget this incredible dive trip.

Open Water Certification card and previous dive with Vallarta Adventures - or - 25 logged dives are required to participate on this dive trip. Certified divers who have not dived in the past 12 months will be required to take a refresher course. Non-certified divers can participate in dives at Las Marietas or at Las Caletas; however, they must complete a Vallarta Adventure Discover Scuba pool lesson before the day of their dive.
Certified divers are automatically entitled to participate in 2 tank dives. Non-certified divers will only be allowed a 1-tank dive. Beginner divers dive to a maximum depth of 40 ft and Certified divers up to a maximum of 60 ft. Advanced divers can dive to up to a maximum of 120 ft. Supervision is normally 1 Dive master to 3 diver pairs using the buddy system.
Diving within 24 hours of your flight home is not recommended. An Acknowledgement of Risk will need to be signed before participating in any of our dive programs.
